Meet the Team

UKCP was founded by John Braithwaite and Damian Baxendale, who bring over 25 and nearly 40 years' experience respectively in cement, admixtures and construction chemicals.

Who founded UKCP?

Together, Damian and John combine deep technical expertise with extensive commercial reach. Their network and industry insight let UK Construction Products bring new technologies to the concrete admixture and dry mortar markets, with a focus on concrete admixtures, cement replacement technologies, rapid set accelerators and innovative additives for the concrete and bagged mortar sectors.

John Braithwaite

Co-founder

John has over 25 years' experience in the construction industry. During that time he has worked with both major and independent cement producers, a UK based admixture producer and Europe's largest independent GGBS producer, before founding UK Construction Products with his friend and business colleague Damian Baxendale. That experience gives John a broad insight into the different applications across the industry and the problems that often arise, so he can offer practical advice to solve them.

Damian Baxendale

Co-founder

Damian brings nearly 40 years of specialist experience in the construction chemicals industry, from technical formulation to commercial leadership. His career began in research and development, formulating liquid and powder additives for precast concrete, dry mortar systems and a wide range of cement based technologies. He moved on to senior technical sales roles, building distribution networks across the UK and Ireland and working closely with major global manufacturers, and then to Commercial Director positions leading growth, product innovation and market development. That journey led to the formation of UK Construction Products Ltd with his long time colleague, friend and business partner John Braithwaite.
