What is AcryMul50?

UKCP AcryMul50 is an APEO free pure acrylic copolymer emulsion. Its typical properties are low VOC, scrub resistance, efflorescence resistance and high gloss, and it has typical solids of 50%.

What do these terms mean?

APEO free means the emulsion is made without alkylphenol ethoxylates, a group of surfactants that some users prefer to avoid. Solids is the proportion of the emulsion that remains as polymer once the water has gone. MFFT, the minimum film forming temperature, is the lowest temperature at which an emulsion can form a continuous film as it dries. Scrub resistance describes how well a dried coating stands up to repeated washing or abrasion.

Where is AcryMul50 used?

Typical applications for AcryMul50 are:

  • Interior and exterior coatings
  • Water and damp proofing
  • A multipurpose binder

For a lower viscosity acrylic sealer designed for concrete blocks, bricks and roof tiles, look at BlokSeal.

How to use AcryMul50

Stir the product before use. For application instructions and addition rates in your formulation, talk to our technical support team. Confirm performance with your own trials before production.

For health and safety information, please refer to the Safety Data Sheet, available on request.

Packaging, storage and shelf life

AcryMul50 is supplied in 1000kg IBCs and in bulk. Store it at a temperature between +5°C and +25°C, avoiding frost and direct sunlight, and stir before use. If stored according to these conditions and in the original unopened containers, the dispersion will be stable for 12 months following delivery. Use the product as soon as possible after opening.
