UKCP FASTSET products are polymer modified, cementitious repair compounds for concrete. They contain special cements for rapid set and high early strength, and powder polymers for strong adhesion to the substrate and improved surface hardness. FASTSET 1, 30 and FS120 conform to Class R3 of EN 1504-3, and FASTSET R4 (30) to Class R4.

The choice mostly comes down to working time. FASTSET 1 suits small repairs that need to be finished almost immediately. FASTSET 30 and FASTSET R4 (30) give time to build up edges and form profiles. FASTSET FS120 lets you mix a larger batch and carry out more repairs before it sets.
What can FASTSET be used for?
FASTSET has been developed for precast applications and for repair of in-situ and precast concrete, including:
- Filling surface voids and blowholes
- Concrete pipe spigots and sockets
- Damaged concrete floors and steps
For structural repairs or any repair involving exposed reinforcement, please speak to our technical support team first.
How do you carry out a rapid concrete repair?
- Make sure the surface is sound, clean and free from laitance, loose material, oil and grease. Hack back to a sound substrate if necessary.
- Damp down the surface with clean water to reduce suction. On difficult substrates, brush on a slurry of water and FASTSET at 1:4 by volume.
- Mix FASTSET in a clean container, typically 1 part water to 5 parts powder by weight, adding the water in small quantities until you reach the consistency you need.
- Mix only as much as you can use within the setting time, then apply, shape and profile the repair.
A 10kg pack yields approximately 5.10 litres. Wear gloves and goggles when handling cementitious products. Our guide to carrying out a rapid cosmetic concrete repair with FASTSET covers the method in more detail.
